It's a little disturbing how often Medicare benefits are terminated for chronically ill beneficiaries because the patient has "plateaued" and is no longer improving. I say "distrubing" because this no-improvement standard is essentially a myth with no basis in federal law.
This issue is wonderfully explained and chronicled in an article written by the Center for Medicare Advocacy, Inc. (CMA). It's well worth the read if you have a loved one who is chronically ill and on Medicare.

Thanks for posting this. I wasn't aware. I will definitely share this with a few people I know it could help. Medicare should be helping these people. It's always important to have a good attorney who can help in these matters.
