This self-proclaimed "fine, physical specimen" is the team's quintessential "distance guy" who usually shuns speedwork for a long, hilly, grueling, run. He kicked off a very promising ultra-running career this past September by nearly breaking the 5-hour barrier for a 31-mile trail race in New Hampshire. He is also an absolutely extraordinary swimmer, so the team is awaiting his triathlon debut with abated breath.
Ricky's PR's are as follows...5K: 18:13, 20K: 1:20,,Half marathon: 1:26, Marathon: 3:08.
This fine physical specimen is the team's self-appointed "crazy idea" guru and enjoys sharing his warped sense of humor on long team runs. He also uses the word "epic" more often than any other Glastonbury resident.
Rick is an IT guy at the University of Connecticut, a soccer coach and father of three. His nicknames include "Ricky", "Ranger Rick", "Big Rick" and, of course, "Sourdough" (long story).
