Mike is relatively competitive in local races from 5K up to ultra-marathon distances (there was one attempt at the 100 meter distance a couple of years ago, but no need to elaborate on that). He bikes occassionally but stubbornly refuses to take up swimming, much to the chagrin of his teammates, so his triathlon career is yet to be launched.
Post-collegiate personal records: 15:36 for 5K, 26:13 for 5 miles, 33:22 for 10K, 54:49 for 10 miles, 1:08:47 for 20K, 1:13:29 for the half marathon, 2:43:57 for the marathon. He will run his 11th Boston Marathon (30th marathon overall) in April of '09.
Mike is a solo attorney in town and is the father of three young boys. He's a big fan of the Yankees, the Dave Matthews Band, Senator Barack Obama and dried mango. He's also an eternal optimist, which infuriates Mr. O'Toole to no end. His nicknames include "K-Law" and "Whole Wheat" (long story).
